After my Reiki level 2 atunement - this was how I felt - light and energized. So I made this.
I've been a second level Reiki practitioner for a week and it has been a busy week. I have been working on my business plan, because I know what I want to do with my new skills. I have a dual focus - I want to provide remote treatments for people or animals who want … Continue reading A week
I enjoyed a weekend class with 2 remarkable women as co-students and an amazing Reiki Master, Jerri Bell - and I am proud to say that I am now attuned as a second level Reiki Practitioner! Asking people what their purpose is in life, many will provide a generic answer or shrug. Ask them what their passion is, and most likely - if they know it - they will overflow on the subject; and if they haven't found it or haven't acknowledged it yet - they may just shrug again. Why … Continue reading Finding your purpose, using your passion
I love this blog post by Elizabeth Selbach – when things look bleak and you are overwhelmed…it IS only temporary…
Last Friday was a really bad day for me. Not in the ‘I just don’t want to work’ kind of way, but the go back to bed, pull the covers over my head and cry kind of feel bad. I didn’t want to work, which just made me feel guilty on top of crappy. It was just an ugly day all around. The next day, I woke up and was on fire. I started working at 6:30 am and just kept going until almost noon. I revamped my website, wrote this blog post, plus other various things that needed to be updated or changed. You do something, and in reality you’ve done your best, but that little voice in your head starts going and tells you that you did something wrong or it won’t work out or, the big one, you’ll fail. Recently, I had an incident that went well, but I had time to start overthinking and it barrel-rolled and I ended up in a state of panic and did something rather stupid. I won’t go into any further detail because, frankly, thinking about it makes me cringe. The point is overthinking is detrimental to running a business; it paralyzes you from moving forward. …

I stumbled upon this article and thought it worthy of sharing with you all. http://www.essentiallifeskills.net/persistence-perseverance.html I have been coaching and mentoring a friend who is at the beginning of building her business as a Virtual Assistant - and not only is plagued with a large dollop of self-doubt, but those closest to her are skeptical … Continue reading Persistence
In my youth, when I was struggling to figure out who and what I was (being of mixed ethnicity in a world dominated by folks who I did not look like) - I was drawn to the melancholy of poetry. As I grew into myself, I returned to fiction and other forms of written words … Continue reading Poetry
My Reiki Level 2 class was cancelled and rescheduled to April - which was disappointing, but I am still looking forward to getting to the next level and being able to do some more complex forms of Reiki. In the meantime, I am also taking a Red Cross certification for CPR, First Aid and AED. … Continue reading Delays are opportunities, too
