When hate has voices

I like to read poetry, especially when turmoil and strife seem to have such loud voices…these days hate seems evident everywhere, and that translates to fear – fear of the unknown, fear of the “other”…two sides of a coin. I need hope. I need life and love and happiness.

Poetry leaves breadcrumbs to answers. Glimpses of other minds who experience and share their journeys.

This blog post: https://www.brainpickings.org/2017/08/24/answers-in-progress-amiri-baraka/ spoke to me.

Life, love, happiness – cannot be contained, but can be pursued.

And sometimes that pursuit will lead us through the voices of hate and fear. Be dauntless and continue through to the other side.
